Project SHRINEs aims at engaging a wider network of organisations and authorities, which will provide fruitful benefits for the protection of places of worship, including people, historical and cultural sites and heritage,
Therefore, SHRINEs has established a European network for safety and security management in places of worship to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, tools, and good practices among different stakeholders involved in managing places of worship.
The network aims to promote awareness and dialogue among managers of places of worship of different religions about the threats they face and the use of technological solutions to better protect these places.
Participation is open and free to all interested stakeholders, including:
- Members representing managers of places of worship of any religion based or active in the EU Member States
- Law enforcement agencies
- Public authorities
- Academia researchers
The concerted effort of all parties involved will benefit the main objective of the project, which is to raise awareness on security issues in places of worship and to promote the use of innovative technological solutions to support their protection.
